Markets, Music, and Mutts: Your Seattle Weekend 

Ruff week? Been there. While it may seem like playing sofa spud all weekend is what you need, doggo’s not havin’ it. Your mutt wants to move, and we’ve got a list of dog-friendly Seattle fun to motivate you. Ready, set, go!  

1. Columbia City Night Market

37th Ave S. between S. Hudson and S. Ferdinand, Seattle
Saturday, August 20, 6–10 p.m.

When something’s described as “the dopest night market in the universe,” you just gotta check it out! Take the whole fam (don’t forget floof!) to this monthly event set in Seattle’s historic Columbia City neighborhood. Run by Nonprofit Peace Peloton, the night market features food trucks, performing artists, local makers and creators, live music, a beer garden, and more!

2. Heron’s Nest Market

The Heron’s Nest, Seattle
Saturday, August 20, 10 a.m.–6 p.m.

Your community canine knows how important it is to shop local, so he’s itchin’ to sniff out the Heron’s Nest monthly market, highlighting local vendors of crafts, arts, and services. Enjoy music, food, and activities while you fetch some great deals at this vibrant outdoor event.

3. Small Dog Meetup

Dog Yard Bar, Seattle 
Saturday, August 20, 9 a.m.; tickets required

Calling all smol fries! This Saturday, Dog Yard Bar is hosting a Small Dog Meetup for all breeds up to 25 pounds. 4. Ballard Locks Summer Concert Series

Saturday, August 20, 2 p.m.

Grab your fave snackies and a blanket and head to the Locks this weekend. You and pup can picnic in the grass while enjoying the sounds of Seattle Solid GOLD Big Band, a 20-piece dance and show band styled after the amazing house bands of Las Vegas. Post-treato grooving and doggo dancing encouraged.

5. Dog Days of Summer

Waterfront Market at Ruston, Ruston
Saturday, August 20 and Sunday August 21, 10 a.m.–6 p.m.

Leash up your shopping sidekick because the Waterfront Market at Ruston is celebrating the Dog Days of Summer this weekend. Peruse the merch and take advantage of special doggo-centered areas like a pet photographer, dog bandana company, pet portrait painter, mobile groomer, and more. Set your alarm because the first 50 pets score free dog treats!

6. Summer Pug Pool Party

The Muddy Pug Farm & Sanctuary, Maple Valley
Saturday, August 20, 5–6:30 p.m.; tickets required

ATTN: Pug pawrents—this summer pool party is just for you! Grab your pug and head to the Summer Pug Pool Party featuring pools and shaded areas to keep pugs and their people cool, prizes for the best pugkini, treats for sale, raffles, and an add-on opportunity to tour the sanctuary. Space is limited so grab puggo’s ticket before they’re gone!
